AN ERUPTION OF THE MARVELOUS!!! [18 Jan 2004|07:24pm]

ug toof (6:48:20 PM): he was like "yeah, of course." and i was like "theres going to be a lot of people." he was like "i don't care." and i was like "like 15-20?" and he was like "sure. go ahead. bring them down."

So. Over y'all's spring break, which is like april 9th till the 18th or something, we're going to bike to Maria's dad's house for a week long dance party camp out. Only a couple people can sleep in the house, which will probably be maria and a couple other girls, so the rest of us will have to camp in a clearing with a pond on her dad's land. which should be awesome. From my understanding it is very secluded and should be safe for rocking out and dancing. So bring your naked and your party.

Anyone is invited that likes fun. People who fear bikes should still drive down, though carpooling would be awesome I don't know if anyone would do it...

I really hope that this trip will work out unlike the october trip where like ten people were supposed to come but only 4 ended up doing it. It's a beautiful ride down rt 9 and this trip will be the first time crossing over rt 1 onto other back roads so it does not become monotonous. I really hope to hear from everyone, and since we're camping I'm sure more than 20 people would be cool so don't think you'll be the "too many" person.

comment my ass or write my ass or 9929552 my ass.

Anyone who didn't come to Critical Mass (excluding those who worked or had family obligations) is a pussy and no longer in the Trash Bike Militia. I accept no excuses. Stop repping our name.

End of story.

AND my touring bike in the shed ( abandoned lotus frame, 27's, three piece crank, relatively light, racked, pumped, and bottled, kept pretty clean).

[ mood | gooooooo? ]

The TBM beach excursion will take place on Thursday October 9th!

The highschool kids have a four day weekend so this is the perfect time for us. Here's the plan!
The idea right now is, we meet at Matt's house around Midnight Wednesday night or One am Thursday morning. This is going to be a night ride so if you can't handle being awake for well over 24 hours (school kids) then you should nap it up after you get out of school/work/whatever. We should get to the beach around 9 or 10am if there are no delays. At this time we should find a place to sleep and do so, or stay up all day and sleep the next night. It will be each individuals own choice. We will spend Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night at the beach leaving early Sunday to get back in time for everyone to get a good nights rest before returning to their responsibilities the next day.
Things to bring!
warm clothes
enough food to get by on (there's always dumpsters and restaurants)
sleeping bag
lots of water(two large sized bottles)
if anyone wants to sleep in a tent they have to be responsible for bringing one
I suggest getting a rack for your bike and not carrying anything on your back as this will destroy your shoulders by Dover and put more weight on your guiche (or cooche) and cause "discomfort"...aka guys won't be able to feel their cock'n'balls for 40+ miles.
As of now I think this is the list of punks participating:
Dann (me)
Matt (ooOOooOo)
Justin (itruthallday (2:49:29 PM): that sounds good)
Willy (siked!)
Chris (all about it)
Mike (tohellwithsummer (2:52:46 PM): ooooo definitely...that would be great)
Those are the ones I'm positive of. Toss up a post if you want in!!
I hope to hear from Shehara, Kevin, Nikki, Miker, and anyone else who is not a moron. Or a mormon. tehehe

So I'm trying to figure out where i can order maps for the PA bike routes. I was able to order delaware's though deldot, but I don't think that PA has an equivalent. At the end of the month Shehara and I are probably biking PA Bike Route L, which connects to DE Bike Route 1 at Brandywine park. It takes you through PA in a northerly fashion until you reach New York. Here are some useful links to find out more:

http://www.bikepa.com/routes/index.htm - here are the PA routes

http://www.deldot.net/static/pubs_forms/manuals/maps/orderform.htm - here you can order the delaware bicycle maps that are extremely useful. (in my opinion) they're free and made of vinyl!

http://www.mybikesite.com/pennsylvania/ - not too good, but there's usually people on there looking for and selling fairly decent bikes

http://www.pahighways.com/OtherHwys/BicyclePA.html - i highly recommend this site, it contains detailed information on routes extending as far as west virginia and ohio.

TBM Movie Night in the making [05 Aug 2003|04:13pm]

The movie night has not been officially planned yet... these are some movies I'm trying to get a hold of:

Breaking Away: A comedy about growing up. Pretty much a bike racing movie.
American Flyers: Sports physician Marcus persuades his unstable brother David to come with him and train for a bicycle race across the Rocky Mountains. Tumors ensue.
The Cycle of Love: A clumsy businessman is made fun of by the neighborhood children because he rides his bicycle to work every day
Double Rush: A bike messanger deals with competition, dangerous drivers, and nagging boss

These are only the few I know that are ABOUT biking. I know plenty with biking in them. Post any more you may know about.

QUICKSILVER [04 Aug 2003|03:12pm]

[ mood | accomplished ]

Just saw quicksilver last night. I hate Kevin Bacon, and the parts where he was talking kinda wrecked the movie... but the fucking street bike stunts were amazing... And by amazing I mean FUCKING AMAZING. running mounts and jumping rear dismounts are my new thing. Soon enough I'll hook up a freewheel street bike without brakes so I can do amazing shit.. fuck.. rent the movie.
